A lot of improvements and changes have been coming along with the latest Android versions. Your apps and device start working smooth once app cache and data has been cleared. There are two ways in which you can get rid of cached data. If you are familiar doing it on Android’s Lollipop, it is not the same with Android Marshmallow, it differs. You cannot clear data directly once you open apps settings like earlier. Such navigations and settings are different on Android Marshmallow 6.0. You can either do it for each specific app you wish to or you can clear cache data all at once for all the apps. Follow the steps mentioned below to learn how to do so specifically for an app or for all the apps on the device.
To clear cache for a specific app-
- Go to Settings.
- Tap on apps.
- Tap on a certain app that you wish to clear its cache for.
- Tap on storage.
- Tap on ‘Clear cache’
To clear cache for all apps at once-
- Go to settings.
- Go to Storage and USB.
- Tap on Cached Data.
This will erase the cached data for all the apps after confirming a prompt that asks you for confirmation.
