How to add websites to Android home screen using Google Chrome?

There are websites we regularly visit from our Android device. If you are using Google Chrome, it displays the last website you visited and is useful when you want to look at it again, but if you wish to go to a particular site you like, you’ll have to open your bookmarks and then tap on the link. Instead of doing all these, you can let go of the extra step by just adding your favorite websites to your Android home screen and quickly access them when you need it. The icon appears on your home screen just like any other app shortcut or a widget which allows you to drag it around and position it wherever you like. The Chrome for Android also loads the website as a web app which gets its separate entry at the app switcher, and you won’t be having any browser interface getting in your way.

  • Open Google Chrome and go to the site which you would like to pin on the home screen.
