Samsung Mobile announces that it is releasing security and maintenance updates for major flagship models as part of Monthly Security Maintenance Release (SMR) process.
The OTA update includes all the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposers (CVE) items listed in Google’s February bulletin, as well as several Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE).
There are also few memory corruption and buffer overflow attacks, but some of the vulnerabilities are are not being detailed at this time.
Speaking of which devices will be receiving the update, Samsung hasn’t pinpointed those exactly and simply used the term “flagship Models” to describe them. This might include The Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6 Family, Tab S, Tab S2 and the Note 5.
