Updated version of the Google app adds new animations to Now on Tap and a finger painting-like feature
According to a report, Google updated its app this afternoon to include new animations within the now on tap feature. It also allows users to play with the color of the Google logo displayed on the Google Now cards to lighter colors and shades.
The spinning blue circle which is used to show the search progress indicator is also getting a change being replaced by new icons, like a magnifying glass, utensils, musical tune or other search related icons.
“Users will notice an enlarged Google logo that occupies the fill width of their device. At first, it is shown in its normal colors, but it will slowly fade into white. Whatever part of the logo a user taps will be filled with a splotch of color. Every touch changes the color and by the end users will have a uniquely colored Google logo. Interestingly, users are not limited to the logo’s usual four colors, but rather many lighter colors and shades. After a device reboot, the logo resets back to white.”
The new features will roll out to all the devices with the Google app version 5.10.
