OnePlus is a smartphone maker which is known to provide well-built phones with flagship-killer specs at a price of an average mid-range phone. Thus it’s no wonder that the company’s latest launches are keenly awaited by enthusiasts and fans worldwide. Now the OnePlus has announces that the company’s next iteration of a fully loaded android phone – the OnePlus Three – will be launched by June this year.
In an interview to CNET, the company’s head Carl Pei said that the next generation OnePlus Three will sport a radically different design than its predecessor, the OnePlus Two, and the it hopes to recapture the magic created by the company’s first phone, the OnePlus One. He also emphasized that the company will use ‘traditional marketing strategies’ which is in a stark contrast with the OnePlus’ current policy of not advertising the phone in mainstream media. This also hints at the proposition that OnePlus might do away with its infamous invite system altogether.
The Chinese company One Plus is famous for its high end hardware and vanilla android software with a very low price tag. The company’s first offering the One Plus One was revolutionary hit because of its totally open CyanogenOS and it’s excellent sandstone back. Subsequent releases by the OnePlus – the One Plus X and the One Plus Two – although very well made and beautiful phones in their own regard, were not able to replicate the success of the erstwhile One Plus One.
