Display color tweaking app f.lux coming to Android to aid sleeping

The much-awaited version of f.lux is now available on the Google Play Store as beta. Another app called Twilight is also launched to alter the color temperature and to aid sleeping for those who are stuck to their screens from sunrise to sunset and the ones who keep their phone right next to their pillows while sleeping.

The most popular display tweaking computer app f.lux that changes your screen color to create a sleep-aiding light. A similar app is now available on the Google Playstore- Twilight. However, the efficiency of Twilight is highly doubtful as it only applies a red filter over everything which may or may not be effective. Currently, f.lux for Android is still in the beta stage. You can get added to the beta testing program by signing up to f.lux forums. If you want to try it immediately, you can root your phone and download the beta version.

From what we have learned in science, blue lights keep you awake. So f.lux accesses pixels from GPU and desaturates all the blue which results in the absence of blue light which will help you have a better sleep.
