Microsoft Translator 1.3 is trying its best to compete better with Google Translate by adding a significant feature- Offline language support.
May it be translating words and sentences or trying to learn new languages, we have always used Google Translate to help us better. Very few use Microsoft Translator app which was released last August, which is a significant challenge lagging behind with only a few missing features. Translator now adds natural live conversations and has enabled offline download of language packs. However this feature is one of the major additions although it is limited to only 11 languages-French, German, Chinese Simplified, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Vietnamese are the languages that have are enabled for free download.
Here’s how you can get the free download of language packs-
- Go to top of the app’s main screen under offline languages
- Go to your typing screen and tap on language selector and download the available offline packs.
A lot of bugs have been fixed along with this new update. The updated Microsoft Translator is now available on Google Play Store.
