Sony Xperia Z5 is now upgradeable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Sony Xperia Z5 was launched back in September 2015. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 core processor. The 23mp sensor is the primary reason for it being distributed throughout the markets. It has the perfect design and build structure, therefore, being considered as an impressive phone. Sony Xperia Z5 started out with Android OS Lollipop v5.1.1 and were upgradeable through OTA to Marshmallow v6.0 within a few months. Sony Xperia Z5 was being updated with Beta and finally, Xperia Z5 got the Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware update.

Turkey has been the first country to receive the updates. According to reports, that was posted on the Facebook fan page. It hasn’t been confirmed by Sony officials, neither has the company’s support page changed their views regarding it yet.

Android Marshmallow 6.0 update brings brand new features to Xperia Z5, Android Pay a mobile payment system, a better phase detecting auto-focus, advanced battery saving features known as ‘Doze’ and ‘App Standby’ and Google Now (that can be accessed with tap) features. There are also reports stating that updated firmware will be equipped with an advanced camera application with AR effects, Sony-specified Albums, etc.

Sony has gained people’s interest with the Z5 family. Sony Xperia Z5, Z5 premium and Z5 compact are top-notch devices, but due to high pricing factor, it has gained a lot of critics. A lot of the criticisms have stated that the Z3+ and Z5 don’t have many distinctions almost to the point, where they can’t be differentiated. Besides the one thing that is unusual among them is the camera, the fingerprint reader and, more importantly, the price. It’s no secret that Sony has been hitting rock bottom and hasn’t been climbing out of that position for a long time.
