China’s largest device manufacturer HUAWEI has shifted its attention to come up with a hybrid laptop which can be used as either a laptop or a tablet with a detachable keyboard and which can run on both Windows and Android operating systems.
While Huawei has yet to release its official word regarding its plans to release rumours say that the device could have an Intel chipset under its hood. Based on the leaked photo of the device, it is also expected to come with a stylus. This hybrid PC is believed to have both Windows 10 and Android OS with EMUI versions.
Over the years, a number of players, including Samsung, have attempted to introduce dual-booting computers but ultimately nothing has surfaced from these endeavours. There is no info yet about the price Word. A Chinese newspaper suggests Huawei could show off their first ever laptop at Mobile World Congress, which ignites in Barcelona on the 22nd of February. There’s even a suggestion that the device could be called the MateBook.
The release of the Nexus 6P and some fairly successful recent products including the P8, Mate S, and Mate 8, Huawei is indeed on the roll. Earlier this month, the company took the wraps off its Mate 8, its newest 6-inch premium smartphone. Apart from its high-resolution display, the phone has an octa-core processor and a battery touting 28 hours of talk time or 17 hours of video on a single charge.
