The latest piece of the OnePlus 2 puzzle has been revealed, arguably the most important one, price. It comes from the company’s CEO Pete Lau. According to him, OnePlus 2 will be priced under $450. He went on to (boldly) say that it was never been about the price.
This is not quite surprising, considering the expensive Snapdragon 810 as the choice of SoC for the 2. Last years One which is still relevant, goes for a price tag of $249 for the 16 GB model. How the premium will affect the sales of OnePlus 2 is yet to be seen, as their low price for One was indeed the key selling point, despite what Lau claimed in the post.
According to previous teasers, OnePlus will have Snapdragon 810 SoC, a fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, which is a first for a phone. The phone will officially launch on July 27 in Virtual Reality.
