The redesign isn’t yet accessible on Google Play, so you’ll have to install the most recent version from WhatsApp’s site to see the improvements.

Group chat information and profiles now look great, with a cleaner design and a big cover picture that shrinks to a titlebar with the prominent color from said picture.
The media selection screen for sending photographs and feature, and also the Settings menu now look bolder and cleaner.
These images might look far from the final product but still, the bold design and cleaner iconography are a much needed refresh. In the event that you need to see what the Material Design upgrade looks like at this moment, snatch the most recent version from WhatsApp’s site.
